Lost in Austen, Episode I

The first episode of ITV’s Lost in Austen premiered sometime this past week. So far, some of the reviews are bad, some apathetic…mostly bad. I have not gotten a chance to sit down and watch the first episode yet, but it is online in 5 parts on YouTube here.

The Austen sites are all over it, again with mixed reviews. AustenBlog does not find it particularly worthwhile and has enjoyed kicking it about, and Ms. Vic from Jane Austen’s World thinks it “a delight to watch.”

  1. I thought it was quite boring; not funny at all :( I hope you’ll be able to post your review before long ! It’s also available on YouYube :)

  2. Lost in Austen is one of the most charming and worthwhile things i’ve seen for ages – with a very winning heroine, and a great deal of affection for the source material. It’s also very funny! And the reviews that i’ve read have been almost entirely positive. Youtube has lots of useful links to cast, and i’m afraid to say i’ve watched the first part quite a few times now…
