Final Masterpiece Night
What a bummer. Tonight is the finale of the 2009 Masterpiece Classic season, with The Old Curiosity Shop. 
Another great season coming to an end, and it was terrific—no production thus far has been a disappointment, in my opinion. There’s little else in the works at the moment, as far as period films go; the BBC’s new Emma is well underway, but goodness knows when it will come to America. That leaves us with waiting for the interesting new rendition of Sherlock Holmes and the 2010 season of Masterpiece.
Again, don’t forget to watch The Old Curiosity Shop tonight on PBS at 9 pm Eastern—yet another Dickens work with which I am completely unfamiliar. 
Did you watch The Old Curiosity Shop last night? I’ve got it on the DVR ready for me to watch when I get home. Fingers crossed I don’t have to work late so I can make a quick dash to the gym and then veg with Dickens the rest of the night!
