The 2009 season of Masterpiece Classic has come and gone. According to the last poll, Wuthering Heights was the most anticipated production (43%), with Little Dorrit and Tess of the d'Urbervilles almost tied (25% and 24% respectively); 7% were most anxious to see Oliver Twist, and The Old Curiosity Shop only had one enthusiastic fan. Now that the season is over, did the productions live up to expectations? Of the new films that premiered, which was your favorite?

This is a gorgeous film. If you have the chance to see it near you (it's a limited film), do not hesitate to do so. Probably one of the best productions I've ever seen.

You were Elizabeth I. Perhaps the most famous European monarch of all time, Elizabeth I faced so many difficulties to ascend the throne that when she eventually got there she was a very determined, courageous woman, hardened by her hardships. She had a fiery temper and if she decided she wanted to do something, little could stop her! She was a great Queen who led England to victory against the Spanish and left her mark as one of the most positive absolute monarchs to have ruled England, which after the terrible 'bloody' Mary must have been a relief to the English people.
